Notice Regarding Capital and Business Alliance with LIGHTz Inc.
ORGANO CORPORATION (Head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Masayuki Yamada; hereinafter the “Company”) hereby announces that it launched a strategic capital and business alliance with LIGHTz Inc. (Head office: Tsukuba-shi, Ibaraki-ken; Representative Director and CEO Shingo Otobe; hereinafter “LIGHTz”) in June 2024. Under this alliance, the Company will contribute to the sustainable growth of society by addressing talent scarcity and the challenges of passing down technical expertise in the plant engineering industry.
Background
All sorts of industries—especially manufacturing—and social infrastructure are supported by outstanding plant engineering technology. Going forward, this technology will become all the more vital as society seeks to grow sustainably, but the plant engineering industry must contend with talent scarcity and barriers to the handing down of technical expertise.
Purpose of Capital and Business Alliance
LIGHTz offers solutions for technical knowledge transfer and work process optimization in mainly the manufacturing sector through its proprietary technologies Hanchika® and Brain Model®, which can convert the knowledge of experienced talent into AI-processable data to construct an organizational system of knowledge—the “brain” of a business. The Company is confident that LIGHTz’s proprietary technologies in AI development and DX can contribute tremendously to the tackling of challenges faced by the plant engineering industry, and thus decided to invest in LIGHTz in order to accelerate their efforts in this area.
Through this business alliance, the Company aspires to build an even more competitive engineering organization by revolutionizing engineering processes and accelerating the passing down of technical expertise. It also seeks to contribute to the sustainable growth of society by working together with LIGHTz to develop solutions for transferring technical expertise and optimizing work processes in the field of plant engineering.
